Short update today since I just found out that WWE 24/7 has new material, including a new episode of WWE Prime Time, NWA Wrestling, WCCW and probably Raw and Nitro. I haven't checked whether they have any new "Big Events" but tonight I'm gonna check out Prime Time and NWA Wrestling.
I actually came home tonight and knocked off a couple of things from my To Do list, even going so far as to do some stuff from tomorrow. I started the Shelf Life update for August. (Almost forgot to give the link for the July update: http://shelflifemag.tripod.com/index.htm) I reviewed Arc of the Medicine Line: Mapping the World’s Longest Undefended Border across the Western Plain by Tony Rees. I read both Plan of Attack by Bob Woodward and Forgotten Patriots by Edwin G, Burrows.
As always, there's a couple of other things I would like to have gotten to, but since I'm a bit head of myself, maybe I'll tack those tasks on to tomorrow. For now, I think I'm going to relive some late 80s wrestling.
Okay, speaking of wrestling, on September 25th, it will be 25 years since I started watching wrestling. (Yeah, I know it's probably considered lame to (a) have a specific date picked out for the occassion and (b) mark the occassion in the first place.) Despite it being a Saturday, it's pretty pointless to invite people over to have a get-together to mark the occassion (as in watching some classic wrestling over refreshments, etc) since the people I know who watch wrestling number in the...well, single digits and not past 3 or 4.
However, as it happens, there is an independent wrestling show in the area that day. Hosted by Classic Championship Wrestling out of Tillsonburg, it is headlined by an appearance by TNA and Border City Wrestling star Petey Williams.

But here's the issue: It's in Stratford!
And it's not like it's at the Stratford Memorial Civic Auditorium Arena Complex (or whatever it's called) where it'd be a case of drive to Stratford, park, walk into the Arena, watch Petey Williams and company, walk back to the truck and go home. It's being held as part of the Stratford Fair, meaning there will be many Stratfordonianites who will be in the vacinity who might otherwise not be willing to go anywhere near a wrestling show. And since I'm not making a quick run into the city, hunkering down in an arena and then leaving, there's a greater chance I might bump into Stratfordonianites I might otherwise not bump into...
See what I'm saying...
So...to quote the Clash, should I stay or should I go?
