A short update.
In twelve hours, I'll be on my way, via a United Airways jet, to Chicago. After a stopover in the Windy City, I'll be headed to Baltimore, MD. to visit my friend Kelly, to help her celebrate her 30th birthday.
I've never flown before and so I'm a little nervous about that. I'm more worried about whether I have all the right paperwork, whether my carry-on will count as a carry-on, how much hassle there will be going through customs and what other snags might pop up along the way.
Once I give Kelly a big hug in the airport, I'll feel a lot better. Of course, I'll still worry about how my folks and Cathy and Jack are doing back home, since I won't be around to lend a hand if need be. I'll cross my fingers that they have a good Easter weekend (or as good a one as we can have).
It's weird to be on the verge of meeting someone I've known for so many years, and yet have never seen face-to-face before. Kelly, for those who don't know her, has become my closest friend in the world. She's the person who knows me best...and yet still remains my friend. (Heheheh!)
I'll be back on April 6th, but probably won't blog, reply to e-mail, etc, until next Wednesday, but again, drop me a line so I can have something to read/reply to when I get back.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter weekend.
Guess your mother doesn't read this blog. "Gave birth to him" isn't an option in your poll.
