You know, it's these "My Day/Week in Review" postings, you know, the ones where I try to encapsulate my day into a few paragraphs, rather than ramble on about one topic or another that's crawled up my @ss, that make me realize just how true the phrase "I have no life" really is.
For those who couldn't figure it out from my previous posting(s), I've been under the weather for the last week or so. It's nothing major, mind you, just the common cold come for an uncommonly long stay. Right now, it's just the odd cough, but a couple of weeks ago I pulled something in the left side of my abdomen. I thought it had healed up but for some reason, after about 4:00 pm, it flairs up with this cough. So instead of just coughing, I find myself having to grasp my side every time I feel one coming on, so I can get enough breath to sufficiently cough.
So yeah, my inability to cough correctly is the highlight of my week. Of course, I was off on Tuesday and took most of Thursday and half of Monday off, so there's not much to discuss from a work standpoint.
That's not to say there isn't a lot going on at work but, with me being off sick, there isn't a lot to discuss. I will say that, during my brief time at work this week, I did manage to get quite a bit accomplished. Whether it was enough to let me keep my head above water next week is a whole 'nother story.
If this weekend looks to be a bit boring (I hope to catch up on some of my "To Do" list items I couldn't get too earlier this week) then next weekend should be pretty busy. I'll be in Whitby visiting Jack and since the Runaways is playing in Whitby, I hope to check that out. On Sunday, I'm having brunch with my friend, Lyz before coming home to partake in the Holiest Day of My Year, Wrestlemania Sunday!
(Okay, I'm sure some will consider that a blasphemous statement but I did say "the Holiest Day of MY Year" not THE Year. Technically, if I was part of some kookie religion that worshipped the WWE, Wrestlemania could be deemed a religious holiday. Dang that it always falls on a Sunday, otherwise I could argue that I should have the day off from work.)
Which reminds me, I need to post my annual "Wrestlemania Prediction" blog posting. I guess you can all look for that sometime this weekend. As well, if I get a chance I may FINALLY finish my blogs about gay marriage and Why I Hate Facebook. (The two topics are not connected.)
