Okay, so my blog-a-day experiment didn't go so well this week, but there really wasn't much to tell save I worked for four days, came home and hung out in front of the computer, working on my Shelf Life update, watching Season 1 of 30 Rock, working on my local history manuscript...oh, and talking myself out of contacting several possibilities on Plenty of Fish.
Wow! It's amazing what I'll write here when I don't think anyone is reading this, which I have to assume, since not a single person has voted in this week's poll, nor left any comments on last weekend's entry.
Hmm...methinks me has a good idea. I was watching the "Fireworks" episode of 30 Rock just now and there's a scene where Liz Lemon (played by Tina Fey, who I'm becoming a bigger fan of by the episode, even as Lemon is revealed to be more and more unstable, but not in a bad way, just that she seems pretty much willing to become a trainwreck to get what she wants...)
Sorry, where was I? Oh yeah, there's a scene where she basically reveals a bunch of very personal and very weird things about herself to this guy she's got a crush on...
(And by the way, is this a TV thing, or do women actually profess their crushes to men? And if so, how come no one ever professes to have a crush on me?....Oh wait, I already know the answer to that.
ANYWAYS....
Here is my challenge. Over the course of the next week, I will reveal one thing about myself for every vote and/or comment I get.
Okay, a couple of rules.
(1) When I say "Comments", I mean comments directly relating to the subject of the blog entry. You can't just type "Wassup???" and expect me to pour my heart out here.
(2) You're better to comment on this entry or future entries. If you go back a month or two and comment about one of my previous blogs, I'll have no way of knowing. You could however reference one of my previous blogs in a comment here. (Or you could e-mail me and say "Hey, John, in your November 23rd blog, you said "***" and here is my response!)
(3) One "revelation" per person. You can't write 12 comments and expect 12 revealing things. Hint: contact any of your friends who know me and direct them here and tell them to comment/vote.
(4) Since the whole point of this exercise is to find out who reads this, I'd prefer you comment than vote, but I'll accept votes. Ooooh...if you want to "double-dip" and get two revelations for the price of one, you could comment AND vote.
Depending on what's going on this week, I may include these revelations in blogs throughout the week or I may save them up for one big post next weekend.
And so...with that...the ball is in your court.
